The Alameda-Park Neighborhood Association (TAPNA) was founded in 2023 by residents who wanted a more connected, informed, and engaged neighborhood.
We are a volunteer-led organization focused on helping neighbors stay informed, connected, and involved in the community we share.
TAPNA serves the Alameda-Park community, a diverse residential neighborhood of historic homes, duplexes, apartments, and condominiums connected by mature trees, distinctive architecture, and shared streets.
Connection: Bringing neighbors together.
Communication: Keeping residents informed.
Community Awareness: Monitoring events that affect our neighborhood.
Historic Character: Preserving what makes our neighborhood special.
Participation: Making it easy for residents to get involved.
Alameda-Park includes historic homes and buildings documented through the Library of Congress Historic American Buildings Survey, including the College Park Association of Friends' Meeting House.
That architectural character is an important part of the neighborhood’s identity, and TAPNA works to celebrate that history while supporting the community today.
Alameda-Park is a residential neighborhood in central San José, bounded by:
North: The Alameda
East: I-880
South: Park Avenue
West: Hilmar Street
Within these boundaries is a mix of historic single-family homes, duplexes, apartments, and condominiums, connected by mature street trees, sidewalks, and a strong neighborhood character.
